Our own vehicles and our own drivers
Capricorn Tours drives tourists, companies, schools, wedding parties, film crews and sports teams around the Cape, in anything from a single car up to a 52 seat coach.
Because the vehicles and drivers are ours, your booking stays with us from the quote to the drop off. Every vehicle is licensed, roadworthy and regularly serviced, and our drivers are local and know Cape Town and the roads out of it well.

Airport transfers
Cape Town International at any hour. We track your flight, so a late landing is already planned for.

We track your flight
We check airport bookings against the real landing time. If your flight is forty minutes late, your driver knows before you land.
A vehicle that fits
From a three seat BMW to a 52 seat coach, so we can match your group and your luggage instead of squeezing everyone in.
Drivers who know Cape Town
Our drivers are local. They know Cape Town and the roads out of it, which counts when you're getting through traffic to catch a flight.
The same team from start to finish
You deal with the same people from your quote to your drop off. Before the trip we send you your driver's name and number.

Do you work outside office hours?
Yes. We do early morning and late night transfers all the time, so an airport pickup before sunrise is a normal booking. Our emergency line, 060 974 0733, is open 24 hours.
How far ahead should I book?
As early as you can, especially for big groups and from December to February. We do take last minute bookings when a vehicle and driver are free. If you need us today or tomorrow, call instead of emailing.
Do you provide a tour guide as well as a driver?
Every tour comes with a local driver who knows the route and the stops. If you'd like a registered guide to talk you through the day, mention it when you ask for a quote and we'll arrange one.
Which areas do you cover?
All of Cape Town and the Western Cape, including the Garden Route. We also do long trips to other parts of South Africa. If you're not sure whether we go somewhere, ask us.
Can I choose a specific vehicle?
Yes. Normally we pick the vehicle that fits your group, route and luggage, because that keeps everyone comfortable. If you'd like a particular one, tell us and we'll book it if it's free.
Do you work with travel agents and tour operators?
Yes, in two ways. Tour operators can use us as a subcontractor when they need extra vehicles, and accredited agents and guides can hire some of our vehicles to drive themselves. Email admin@capricorntours.co.za for trade rates.
What do you need from me for a quote?
The date, how many people are travelling, where you're starting and where you're going. Tell us about anything unusual too, like a wheelchair, extra luggage or a flight you can't miss.
How do I confirm a booking?
We send you a quote. Once you accept it, a deposit holds the date. Before the trip we send you your driver's name and phone number.
