Weddings, late dinners and early call times

Guest shuttles, dinner transfers and crew vehicles around Cape Town and the Western Cape, in anything between one car and a 52 seat coach. Tell us the times that matter and we'll plan the vehicles around them.

Event transport usually goes wrong at the edges of the day.

Guests are staying in a few different hotels, the venue is an hour out of town, and the last people leave long after the speeches. We'd rather sort those parts out with you before the day than on the night.

The work falls into three groups. Weddings and private functions, where guests need collecting from several places and taking home late. Dinner and restaurant transfers, for groups going out for the evening who would rather leave their cars at home. And film and production work: crew vehicles and transport to and from set, which can mean an early call one day and a late wrap the next.

We run 17 licensed vehicles, from a single car up to a 52 seat coach, and there's no minimum booking. A table of eight going out to dinner gets planned the same way as a wedding with guests in several hotels. When one vehicle isn't enough, we put several on the same job.

A lot of this work happens late at night, and that's normal for us. The ride home gets the same planning as the ride there.

Who it's for

Couples and wedding planners

A ceremony in one place, photos somewhere else, a reception out in the Winelands and guests in different hotels. Send us the run sheet and we'll plan the pickups, the moves between venues and the late trips home around it.

Dinner and function organisers

Year end dinners, birthdays, gala evenings and restaurant bookings where nobody should be driving afterwards. A Staria takes up to nine people, and a bigger function can have several vehicles arriving together.

Film and production crews

Crew vehicles and transport to and from set. Give us the locations, the unit base and the call times, and we'll plan the runs around your schedule. Early starts and late finishes are normal work for us.

Event organisers

If you're handling transport for someone else's event, we can supply one vehicle or several for the same day, and we send you each driver's name and number before it starts.

How booking works

Every booking: we quote, a deposit holds the date, and you get your driver's name and number before the trip.

Start with a quote
  1. Send the run sheet or the call sheet

The date and times, roughly how many people, every pickup point and the venue or location. A draft run sheet or call sheet is the quickest way to give us all of it.

  2. Pickups worked back from the start time

We count the pickups and the people at each, then work the times back from when everyone has to be at the ceremony, the dinner or on set.

  3. The venue or set, then home

Drivers collect from each pickup point at the agreed times and take everyone to the venue or set. At the end they take people home, to one drop off or several. If plans change during the event, call 060 974 0733.

What's included

Every booking is quoted on its own. This is what comes with it.

  • Pickups from several places

Guests collected from different hotels, guesthouses or homes and brought to the same venue.

  • Late night trips home

We plan the return run at the same time as the trip there, around the time you realistically expect to finish.

  • Crew runs around the call sheet

For film and production work we plan the runs between the crew hotel, the unit base and the locations, early calls and late wraps included, with room left for the kit.

  • A Staria for a dinner of nine

A Staria takes up to nine people, so a table going out for the evening arrives together and nobody has to drive home.

  • Stays with you, or a timed return

A vehicle and driver can stay with your group for the day or the evening, or drop you off and come back at a set time.

Good to know

A few things that make the booking go smoothly.

  • Give us the latest time you think the evening could run to. It's easier to plan the ride home around a realistic finish than to change it on the night.
  • Mention wheelchairs, walking frames, prams, extra luggage or camera and lighting kit when you ask for a quote, so we can size the vehicles properly.
  • Send the full venue address early. Some estates and farm venues have narrow roads or tight gates, and that can change which vehicle we suggest.
  • For guests flying in, we can do the airport runs too, with flight tracking, meet and greet in arrivals and a luggage trailer for bigger groups.
  • For a booking today or tomorrow, call rather than email. We take last minute work when a vehicle and driver are free.
  • We quote every job on its own, because the price depends on the type of service, the distance and the time of day.

Questions about events, weddings and film

Not answered here? Call 081 741 6700 or send us a WhatsApp.

Can you collect wedding guests from different hotels?

Yes. Send us each pickup address and how many people are at each one. We'll work out whether one vehicle can do a round of pickups or whether it makes more sense to send two, and work the times back from when you need everyone at the ceremony.

Do you transport film and production crews?

Yes. We supply crew vehicles and transport to and from set. Tell us the unit base, the locations and where the crew is staying, and we'll plan the runs, early calls and late wraps included. Let us know how much kit travels with the crew so we leave room for it.

Can a vehicle stay with us for the whole event?

Yes. You can have a vehicle and driver stay with your group for the day or the evening, or book a drop off with a return pickup at a set time. Tell us which you want when you ask for a quote, so we quote the right booking.

How big a group can you move?

Our largest coach seats 52, and we run 17 vehicles, including four 22 seat Coasters and three 32 seat Higers. For bigger weddings and functions we send several vehicles on the same day. It depends on what's free on your date, so ask early.

Will you drive to a venue outside Cape Town?

Yes. We cover Cape Town and the Western Cape, including the Winelands and the Garden Route, and we do longer trips across South Africa. For long drives, the Higer 32 seater has a toilet and a fridge on board.

Can guests book a tour while they're in town?

Yes. If people are staying on after the wedding, we run Peninsula, Winelands, City, Aquila and Whale Coast day tours, and a registered tour guide can join on request.

Send us the date and the run sheet

Tell us the date, how many people, every pickup point and the venue. We'll come back with the vehicles we'd suggest and a quote.
