Cape Town fits a lot of history into a small space. This tour covers the mountain, the Company's Garden, the Castle and the painted streets of Bo-Kaap, and none of them are far apart.
Bo-Kaap, the Castle, Signal Hill, Table Mountain and the Waterfront.
You start below Table Mountain and work through the old town: the South African Museum, the Company's Garden (planted in 1652 to grow food for passing ships) and the Castle of Good Hope, the oldest colonial building still standing in the country.
Bo-Kaap gets more photos than anywhere else on the route. Cape Malay families have lived on these cobbled streets for generations, and Greenmarket Square is a short walk away.
The afternoon is for views. You stop at Signal Hill, ride the cableway up Table Mountain, and finish at the V&A Waterfront or on the beach at Camps Bay.
